Illumonus Methodology

Our methodology allows our consultants to identify the client's requirements, agree on the eBusiness solution, track the implementation progress, and train users so that they can achieve the optimal effective use of their systems.

Illumonus consultants follow best practice in project management utilizing a four-phase workflow:

  • Requirements: The requirements phase helps identify the business objectives, workflow processes, related applications and participants.
  • Analysis: The analysis phase fundamentally looks at the collaborations between business roles, identifies business information transaction patterns, and begins to understand the business documents that flow between roles. It factors in the commercial aspects and pinpoints the areas vulnerable to business risk.
  • Design: The design phase primarily involves detailing the business documents information model [comparable to EDI, XML message design]. The information model may undergo harmonization to integrate with other models in the same industry and across other industries.
  • Implementation: The implementation phase represent the detailed compilation, integration, packaging and deployment of all components (documents, applications and participants) and documentation of the solution.

  1. Today many eBusiness users are looking for integration projects to increase the number of trading partners doing business online (B2Bi). An essential prerequisite to optimal B2Bi is the integration of internal systems so that when they are linked to external trading entities they will create a back-office-to-back-office relationship between buyers and sellers. eBusiness transactions will increase as XML/EDI grows in its acceptance smaller partners and web-based transactions. The heavier lifting however will still be done by EDI, at least for the foreseeable future.
